Gift counter

The promo is used for increasing client retention rate. When reaching a specified number of purchases the customer is entitled to get a specific product for free. Purchases are counted automatically in the system, without paper coupons or cards. 

IMPORTANT! The promo is only valid for purchases on the condition of a client identification. If a cashier forgot to ask a client’s phone number or a discount card, the purchase will not be recorded. 

When creating a promo in addition to standard settings such as validity period, locations and clients the number of made purchases should be indicated and days limit should be set, for which these purchases will be summarized.

When using this discount the price of the selected products in the ticket will be substituted by the indicated one. To configure this promo in the Loyalty tab press Create new button and choose from the list Gift counter type.

Enter a promo name and description which a cashier will see on a tablet.

This discount type can applies only in manual mode. A cashier adds a free product to the ticket if specified conditions are met and if a client is willing to have a gift. 

In Application conditions set the Period when a discount is effective. One can limit a promo validity by dates, days of the week and time of the day.

In the Locations tab choose locations in which a promo will be used. 

In the Roles tab one can limit application rights. For example, a cashier can make discounts, but a trainee cashier is not allowed to do it. 

Settings in Clients tab add customer base restrictions to the application conditions:

1). Without limitations – any customer can use a promo.

2). Any client is indicated in the sale – a cashier must identify a buyer using a telephone number or a bonus card.

3). A client of a specific category is shown in the sale – a buyer must be authorized and belong to the indicated category. 

Also it is possible to rank promos by the Ticket amount – a discount cannot be made unless a definite threshold is reached.

Also choose a product or products which will be given for free (gift).

Additionally one can set the gift counter increase for buying products from specific categories or some specific goods.
